Critical Thinking
To nurture critical thinking, students will adapt to a new learning environment in which teaching is not one-way but a dialogue. Selected readings on a wide range of topics are provided to prompt students to engage in discussions with their teachers. These sessions encourage the expression and debate of different opinions, shaping students into independent thinkers.
Applied English
English is not just a language but a culture being developed and still developing over centuries. Students will be exposed to different topics ranging from grammatical structure and syntax to English language history and etymology. This all-rounded approach will nurture not just correct usage but full understanding of the language, thereby achieving not only accuracy but fluency in English.
Early Years Phonics
Phonics knowledge enables learners to better understand more advanced material at a young age. With a systematic method and a curriculum specifically designed for children aged 3-6, young learners are guided to decode sounds in complicated words, fast-tracking them in their comprehension of words and knowledge throughout their years of learning.
Public Speaking
Good leadership is always reflected in public speaking. Through vocal training and speech-writing exercises, students will be trained to express themselves effectively with confidence and conviction. Various forms of public speaking will be introduced and students will learn to showcase themselves in the best way possible in all situations.
Creative Writing
Creative writing is a channel for students to realise their imaginations in the form of written words. Students will explore different genres, tone, register, as well as world literature and methods to generate ideas, through which they acquire the vision to see beyond their confines and write freely and professionally.
