It is important to point out that Advanced Placement (AP) exams are not considered entrance exams. In other words, high school students are not able to utilise their AP scores to apply for colleges and universities. Instead, AP exams are often used to exhibit a student's high school course-load rigour. A competent AP result can provide the student an edge throughout the college application process.

Typically, students who manage to score 3 or above may consider submitting their results as a supplementary academic component to support their college application; however, top schools will be looking for 4s and 5s. A score below a 3 would be considered unfavourable to your application.
