Valerie is a recognised academic of Archaeological Science at University College London. Here at the Thinking Lab, Valerie specialises in coaching and guiding students with STEM admission applications. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Ancient World with first-class honours. She then continued with her master’s qualification in Archaeological Science, where she was awarded distinction upon completion. She is currently a researcher in the field; her research focuses on the scientific study of vitreous materials using non-invasive techniques.

Valerie began her academic career and then proceeded to complete both her GCSE and A-level studies within the boarding school system in the United Kingdom, she possesses a comprehensive grasp of the their educational system.

Currently, a proven academic as well as educator, Valerie enjoys teaching and coaching talented students. Having been educated in both Hong Kong and the UK, Valerie understands the challenges faced by students studying abroad. Valerie believes that each student’s learning journey is unique, and she is determined to guide them to discover their own academic interests and ultimately, to succeed in their education and beyond. She is experienced in providing academic support tailored to these families and students. In addition, she has also organised and facilitated object-based learning sessions for home-schooled children in London, United Kingdom.
